Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth2 Hard Reset
Huawei- First, access the main home screen, then press the menu button.
- From the menu that appears choose the Privacy option.
- Next, press Factory data reset.
- Only after you read the disclaimer you can tap Restart.
- you should press Erase everything.
Hard Reset
- Switch off your device.
- Press and hold the Volume Down button +Power button both at the same time.
- After a minute the recovery mode will appear.
- Using the Volume buttons to choose Clear Storage.
- Next, press and release the Power button and wait for the device to restart.
- You will see these two options: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO. If you choose YES, all data will be deleted from your device including third-party applications
Firmware Upgrade
Another way to reset your tablet is, download and reinstall / update Mediapad 7 Youth 2 firmware. Firmware can be found on Huawei's official website. Make a back up copy all of your important data before the upgrade process. All data will be lost!
- Download from Huawei's website the .rar or .zip file of Mediapad 7 Youth 2 firmware. Unpack it. Copy dload directory (update.zip, unlmt.cfg etc.) to the root directory of microSD memory card. Keep the folder structure.
- Make sure your tablet is powered off.
- Insert SD memory card in the tablet memory slot.
- The tablet will begin SD card upgrade automatically after you power on the tablet.
